Sunset trekking towards the natural terrace over the sea
Prepare to discover Monte Pino at the most evocative hour of the day, when the sun begins to descend, the light crosses the forest and the landscape slowly changes colour.
Accompanied by Francesca Ruiu, expert hiking guide, we will take on a loop trek of about six kilometres, of medium difficulty, along the trails of one of the most fascinating places in Gallura.
We will start at 6:00 pm, when the daylight is still strong, and walk among great granite rocks, the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and the extraordinary pine forests dominated by His Majesty Pinus pinaster, a silent and monumental presence that will accompany our walk.
Step by step we will discover a nature capable of constantly changing appearance.
The lower sun will pass through the pine branches, the shadows will lengthen among the rocks and the scents of the forest will accompany our route towards the most awaited place of the excursion.
The lookout of Monte Pino. It is here that the mountain becomes an extraordinary natural terrace over the sea.
Before our eyes one of the widest and most evocative panoramas of Gallura will open: the sea, the islands, the coasts and the horizon which, in the light of sunset, will seem to have no boundaries.
It will be the moment to stop, breathe and watch the sun slowly descend in front of us.
Then we will resume the walk, accompanied by the last lights of the day, to complete our loop route.
